Jouie is a psychotherapist with a background in special needs education and the social service sector. She began her career in 2010 after switching from publishing, starting out as a Sign Language Interpreter before moving into therapeutic and educational roles. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan, from preschoolers in early intervention settings to adults as a job coach.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. Her counselling experience includes working with various community organisations, where she supports individuals through emotional, developmental, and relational challenges.
