Formerly an educator and now a counsellor, Amy has dedicated over 20 years of her career to working with children, youths, parents, and families.

Her engagement with youths continued when she started teaching at the Singapore Boys Home in 2012. She completed a significant portion of her counselling internship at a secondary school. After graduating, she took on a part-time counselling role at a VWO that serves youths and families. Subsequently, she established her private practice, working with clients facing various challenges. With empathy and patience, Amy assists her clients in acquiring skills and growing in confidence.

Since 2018, Amy has transitioned into the role of facilitator for various Parents Plus programs. She has also led sessions in Singapore Changi Prison, and conducted training at her church. Additionally, she facilitated a plenary session on mental health topics at another church. Amy has conducted counselling and workshops in Mandarin both in Singapore and China. In 2022, she was invited to share her insights on Mental Wellness, organized by a social service agency in Macau.

Amy firmly believes in the unique gifts possessed by everyone, recognizing that it only takes a spark to ignite a fire. She sees her role as igniting that spark, starting with herself. Therefore, she remains committed to challenging herself to step out of her comfort zone, enriching herself day by day, so that she can lead others to do the same for themselves
